Bodies in Transit

A transcription and data modeling project centering on the NYC Municipal Archives bodies in transit ledgers, this ongoing work looks at the individuals and officials at the heart of public health in the city in the second half of the nineteenth century. The transcriptions from the first phase of the project, conducted in the fall of 2014, have been made available to the Municipal Archives.
